2016 Final Championship Round – Rockingham

2016 K-Tec Racing Clio 182 Championship, Rounds 13 & 14

The final round of the K-Tec Racing Clio 182 Championship rolls into Rockingham on Sunday 11 September.

Like in 2015, the final meeting will decide the overall 2016 Clio 182 Champion.

The season long battle battle between Patrick Fletcher and James Bark will come down to the wire on Sunday.  The difference between the two contenders is just four points, once drop scores are taken into account.

Rockingham Race Report

The 750 Motor Club returned to the Rockingham Motor Speedway for what is now becoming an annual visit to the Northamptonshire venue. A busy 24 race programme provided plenty of entertainment across the two days, with the occasional shower only adding to the spectacle.

K-Tec Racing Clio 182 Series

Patrick Fletcher earned a double win in the K-Tec Racing Clio 182 Series, despite Matt Fincham taking both fastest laps. Both Fincham and Jeff Humphries shared a second and third place finish. The combat for fourth was more fiercely fought in both encounters. The first race saw Mathew Pewsley take the position ahead of Martin Bentley with Martin Ward seuring that spot on Sunday with Pewsey, Matt Digby and Bentley in close proximity.
